My father-in-law wrote this song in honor of Chelsea King. For those of you who haven't been following the news lately, Chelsea King was a 17 year old girl from San Diego who was raped and killed last week. Her alleged attacker was a convicted sex offender (of a minor) who only served 5 years of the potential 30 year term, and was then released.
take that in... it is horrible. This should not have happened.

This is heart breaking. It is astonishing that a convicted sex offender gets a second chance only to take a life! is that what someone must do to be put away?

This is beautiful Katie. My little brother was friends with her and they took AP classes together. He said she was such a friendly person.
The same sex offender has also been linked to 2 other missing girl cases, one in escondido and one in oceanside. PUT THEM AWAY FOR GOOD!
i hate sex offenders. i am very passionate about them being put away for the longest terms possible, expecially those who offend minors.

This is a really powerful song and such a sad story. Im all about only giving them one chance. What a cool thing that your family did!
I think that what your father in law is doing is just wonderful and the song is incredibly touching.
